Why is Singing So Fun?

Just like going to the beach when for the first but it feels like your first time regardless of how many times you’ve been there before. That feeling is something to chase for,

Singing is fun because it is an art form that requires practice to reach an end so that you are able to communicate and express your ideas in a medium you couldn’t before. Deliberate effort makes singing both an art form and something to do with passion.

That’s why it’s fun! If you’ve never had a sport or a musical discipline then you must try singing, let’s read to know why it’s fun to do it.

All Art Forms Are Fun

All art forms are fun.

The biggest reason they are fun is that they allow you to be a part of something bigger than yourself.

If you think about it a lot of people do what you do but when you go out and you find someone who does the same thing as you, you are not only excited by it but you are actually intrigued to know a little bit more about that person as well.

Especially with music when you find other people who do the same thing as you, you end up creating bands or you try to get together and try to create some really cool music; without which it would be hard for people to come together and do something like that.

In music, it’s even more prevalent.

Imagine all the songs that wouldn’t be released if all the people had not come together and done what they have done. Your favorite band wouldn’t exist without other people putting in the effort that was required for the song to exist.

The same is true for you and me as well.

That’s what makes it fun when you learn something and you try to go out and do something. You are going to do it with people who do the same thing as you.

You will never pick up a band member who doesn’t listen to the same music as you, who doesn’t understand what you are trying to do. Or at the very least you don’t even like hanging out with.

Singing is fun because we are surrounded by like-minded people who want to do the same thing as us. Music.

You Practice to Enjoy – Eventually

Then it comes to this.

You might be wondering how much you practice that you will reach a level where you can actually start enjoying what you want to enjoy.

The purpose of practice is not to do it perpetually but to find something you want to be good at and keep on doing it for yourself

It’s like going on a journey. The journey has to end otherwise, you are on a perpetual journey.  The idea of practice isn’t so that you can lock yourself up in your room and keep on doing it endlessly. There is an end to it. Or in better words, there has to be an end to the practice.

The way you reach this end is by putting in the required time that it takes you to master a skill.

The way you do that most effectively through time and whatever resources you have is by following something that can guide you to the point and without any fluff and other things that might come along the way.

So you need to be focused on what you are practicing and you need to know exactly what you’re practicing about. These two things – time and knowledge, when put together in practice are known as deliberate practice.

I have written many times about this in various other articles.

Think about it, once you have mastered the breathwork of one song would you keep on thinking actively about it? No

You only think actively about it when you are actually practicing something. Once you are actually able to sing the song that you want to with proper breathwork and you nail it exactly how it is meant to be sung then there is no longer a need to practice.

This also means that songs of equal difficulty are now within your grasp as well.

It’s Liberating to Practice a Medium

It’s liberating to practice a medium because it allows you to express yourself in another way other than regular speech.

The thing with music and every other art form and why it becomes so fun is because, at its core level, it is necessary for you to be able to express yourself in another medium.

It’s like if you ever learned a foreign language and you have gone to another place and you can’t make them understand yourself in English then you use their native language to converse with them and all of a sudden it makes sense.

That’s why singing is so fun because there are certain times when even other people might not understand what you’re trying to say but when you say your heart out and you know what you are trying to say it releases an emotional value that can be felt by other people as well.

That’s why people when they come up to bands and they go watch them live it’s not because they can tell them about the production quality on your track. That’s why I came out to see you. No.

People go out to see the band and other artists so that they might feel the same emotions they felt when they first heard their tracks in person or in whatever medium they used.

That’s why being a musician or a singer is really fun.

Expressing Ideas in Another Medium

Since we’ve now realized based on the fact that we do enjoy other ways that stories can be told to us, songwriting and singing go hand in hand.

That’s why they are so closely related. It might be a little bit of friction when you were first trying to learn songwriting or singing; but when you have mastered it, it is just so much to see your work come to life – from the ideation process to the production process to the final result.

Think about other art forms. The way that people in different cultures look at not just music but dance, by the way, a lot of cultures have dance and music as a part that combines both of them together and either don’t exist without it.

The funniest part is you wouldn’t think that is why dancing is fun. We just know why dancing is fun because if you move the body is in the groove and you’re doing something that you’ve learned and it’s quite fun. We just know it’s fun.

Before I close this article, I would like to say that fun is very interesting, instinctually, and added it needs to come naturally. The only way it can come naturally when you’re singing is when you have practiced so much that you don’t need to think twice about what you are doing actively but the foundations for your skills have already been set in concrete.

Online Courses

The whole point of this website is to educate people about the truths that may otherwise deter them from learning how to sing, I also am a big believer in online courses and it reflects on the name itself.

You can check out the article I have written about it here.

Let’s get right to it, ‘The Four Pillars of Singing’ is the course you ought to buy and is something I believe is also worth the cost. It’s also one-time. So, compare that with your private classes cost and you will start to see the benefits. Check it out for yourself!

To spoil you for choice, here is the list of all of the courses on sale.

You can’t make a bad decision here, I hope you take action and end up becoming a better singer!
